The City of Katy honored Charles Stiles as its employee of the year during an appreciation banquet Thursday at the VFW Hall.
Stiles, who currently serves as assistant superintendent of the water department, has been a dedicated member of the city’s public works department for more than 26 years.
“He is very deserving of this award,” city administrator Johnny Nelson said. “We’re just a little late giving it to him. We should have done it before now.”
